Biography
Carina A. Ludgate
Carina was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. In 2005, she moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta, where she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in sociology. After graduating, she spent three years working for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, gaining invaluable experience in provincial politics. Following her stint with the Legislative Assembly, she returned to school, this time to MacEwan University, for a Bachelor of Communication Studies in professional communications.
In 2014, Carina and a school classmate started a boutique agency called Park Avenue Communications and subsequently became engrossed in the world of branding. They niched the business into the brand industry, working primarily with health and wellness, tech, and education-focused clients. The company dissolved in 2017, and shortly thereafter, Carina continued to work with her passion for branding and communications by founding her company, Henryk Branding Co. Ltd.
Through Henryk Branding Co., Carina is fortunate to work with many diverse clients who all have one thing in common: they understand the importance of building a thoughtful, purposeful, and well-executed brand. She is a detail-oriented brand strategist who possesses tactical know-how that delivers quality services with accuracy and professionalism. She is endlessly fascinated by the world of brand and loves seeing a client’s brand come to life.
In addition to running her company, Carina is a sessional instructor at MacEwan University's Bachelor of Communication Studies program. Her roster of courses includes media relations (BCSC 352) and advanced strategic communications (BCSC 430).
Outside of brand building, Carina is also passionate about fitness and wellness. As a lululemon Legacy Ambassador, Carina is often found engaging in some sort of physical activity in her spare time.
Carina is also currently completing her Masters of Arts in Communications and Technology at the University of Alberta. Her research is focused on brand loyalty and the impact brand messaging has on consumers.
