Work Experience

  • Assisting small to mid-sized organizations with creating (or refreshing) their unique brand, including vision, mission, character, persona, voice, tagline, primary and secondary messaging, and more; developing and executing full-scale brand strategies for clients, including social media planning, marketing and communications plans, employee on-boarding, culture building, and community engagement.

  • Courses taught: Media and the Message; Advanced Strategic Communications

  • Leading the marketing team for innovative Financial Feminist(TM) platform, including providing strategic guidance and advice for growth marketing tactics across the organization.

  • Worked with start-up, mid-sized, and vintage companies with creating (or refreshing) their brand; conducted primary and secondary research for brand building, including surveys, focus groups, and content analysis. Used both qualitative and quantitative data to inform the development of client brands.

  • Provided strategic communications and social media advice internally and for clients; worked on content development for internal and external communication, including websites, social media, proposals, reports, and marketing and communication plans; conducted market research, gathering qualitative and quantitative data, interpreting the data, and writing reports back to clients based on results and findings.

  • Planned multi-million dollar branch budgets including monthly review of expenditures, an annual assessment of budgetary needs, and year-end forecasting; researched and drafted internal and external communication, speaking notes, and parliamentary updates for the Office of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Office of the Clerk, and Parliamentary Counsel; assisted with drafting Bills and legislation for presentation in the Assembly.
